As we reported earlier on 16-17 March 2007 experts of the NN Committee Against Torture and the Yoshkar-Ola City Human Rights NGO Man and Law held the first training session for criminal investigation officers of the Orenburg Regional Central Police Department. 

   The policemen showed great interest in the seminar. The other day the Committee received a letter from chief of Orenburg police E.V. Romanov in this connection. He noted that the event was organized on a high level and he hoped to continue the cooperation between the regional police and human rights defenders which promotes for growing professionalism of law enforcement officers in the region.
