We have just learnt that workers of the Committee Against Torture detained earlier by the Nizhny Novgorod Special Police Forces (OMON), including organization’s chairman Igor Kalyapin, have been released by law enforcement authorities.

Tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. there will be a hearing in the 1st section of the Nizhegorodsky district court with judge Shishkina.

The Committee Against Torture will be glad to see independent trial observers in the courtroom.
