A seminar entitled “Investigation into allegations of human rights violations – work on the national and regional levels” is to be held in Tomsk on 18 and 19 December. 

    The seminar is organized by the Commission on Human Rights of the

Tomsk region and other regional human rights NGOs. Experts of the INGO Committee Against Torture will act as tutors. In the course of the seminar the participants will discuss how to organize public investigations into human rights violations by state officials and represent interests of victims before Russian courts. They will also acquaint with some theoretical and practical aspects of work with the European Court of Human Rights.

    The seminar is intended for practicing lawyers as well as for students of law and human rights defenders.
