On February 10, 2010 at 15.00 in the conference room of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Directorate of the Interior (71 Gorkogo Street) there will be a press-conference devoted to the results of the sociological poll: “Public awareness about the work of the police and its assessment”.

   This sociological poll was conducted in May 2009 upon the initiative of the Public Board under Nizhny Novgorod Regional Directorate of the Interior by the Interregional Committee against Torture (Nizhny Novgorod), All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (Moscow) with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Directorate of the Interior. Among the participants there will be: Viktor Bratanov, lieutenant-general of the police, head of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Directorate of the Interior, Igor Kalyapin, member of the Public Board under the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Directorate of the Interior and chairman of INGO “Committee against Torture”, and Asmik Novikova, research manager of the poll.
