A representative of the Committee against Torture will take part in the first Polish-Russian NGO forum

    On 1 – 2 July 2009 in Jachranka (Poland) there will be the first Polish-Russian forum aimed at developing cooperation between Polish and Russian NGOs. Vice-chairman Olga Sadovskaya represents the INGO “Committee against Torture” at this international event of high importance for non-commercial organizations.   The forum is organized by long-standing partners of the Committee – Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights and Centre for the Development of Democracy and Human Rights, as well as by the Zagranica group, an association of Polish NGOs working abroad. More than one hundred representatives of Russian and Polish NGOs engaged in human rights protection take part in the forum. The forum participants hope that this event will open a new stage of cooperation between the Russian and Polish third sector.
