Today the Committee against Torture has filed a suit claiming the largest compensation of moral damage incurred by the actions of a worker from the Sovietskiy district medical detoxification centre to the relatives of murdered Alexander Anoshin.

The victims demand 12 million roubles of compensation from the state.

You may remember that earlier detoxification centre worker Maslov was found guilty of killing 50-year old Gidromash plant plumber Alexander Anoshin in 2002.

In August 2008 Maslov was convicted under p.1 art.105 (murder) and p.3 of art.286 of the RF Criminal Code (abuse of official powers with violent treatment) and sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment in an increased security penal colony.
