Today head of the Orebnburg office of the Committee against Torture Vyacheslav Dyundin met Alla Gemize, Chairman of the Human Rights Commission under the Orenburg region governor. During the meeting Mr.Dyundin informed her of the results the Orenburd office of the Committee had achieved. They also discussed the issues of protecting human rights of Orenburg citizens, and the problem of inaction of law enforcement bodies in the sphere of human rights.

    Mr.Dyundin notified the chairman of the existing violations connected with investigation of citizens’ claims by the Investigation Committee, especially of claims dealing with non-execution of court judgments by the Orenburg Investigation department. In course of the meeting they reached an agreement on further cooperation of the Orenburg Human Rights Commission and the Orenburg office of the INGO CAT.
