During yesterday’s hearing in course of questioning witnesses and victims stated that the policemen who beat them were openly talking of “revenge”.
During the second hearing that took place after lunch in Lazarevskoe regional court one of the underage victims, Eduard Romanovich Adamyan, and his representative Lyudmila Andreevna Adamyan were questioned. The victim claimed that the policemen continued beating him although he had several times told them he was a minor. His mother underlined that the battery went on in the bus.
After the questioning was over the court took a break till 10 a.m. of October 24.
At night on the 19th of July 2006 a group of SPF officers (in accordance with the prosecution statement which is fully supported by rights defenders from the Committee against Torture and thePublic Verdict Foundation who conducted a public investigation of the events) rushed into café Oasis located on the territory of camp Druzhba. The policemen humiliated and battered young people in the café. The total number of victims is 29, among them 5 are minors.
