Today, on 13 December 2018, Chairman of the Committee Against Torture Igor Kalyapin visited school No.49 of Nizhny Novgorod:

“After 35 years I returned to the school where I studied to tell the upper-form pupils about human rights. About why this topic is always a sensitive one to authorities of any state and why in any state the authorities dislike their own native human rights defenders and have deep respect to foreign ones…

I made a conclusion for myself. Communication with the generation which is not spoilt by the TV, with this audience which was not selected, – is precious experience for any public person. I hope it was also the case for those who listened”.
