On 17 April 2013 members of the Council met with UN Human Rights Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers Gabriela Knaul.

The participants of the meeting were: Human Rights Officer of Justice, Protection and Social Rights Unit Amanda Flores; U.N. Senior Counselor for Human Rights in Russia Richard Komenda; the Chairman of the Council Mikhail Fedotov; and members of the Council Igor Kalyapin, Tamara Morshakova and Sergey Pashin.
