The Interregional Committee Against Torture together with REDRESS Trust (UK) organizes a workshop for lawyers in Nizhny Novgorod. The topic of the training is protection against torture, fair trial and security of person in the ECtHR case law and in Russia.

   The lectures will be delivered by REDRESS experts Lutz Oette and Yuergen Schurr. Within two days these international and European law specialists will share their knowledge, experience and secrets of professional mastery in redressing the rights of torture and ill-treatment victims with local lawyers. REDRESS is a partner of INGO “CAT” and has many years of practical experience in working with the ECtHR as well as granting legal assistance.

   This training is organized by the ICAT and REDRESS Trust in the context of a project aimed at providing consultation and legal advice to different categories of Nizhny Novgorod lawyers.
