On 6 May 2010 at 9.00 a.m. the Nizhegorodsky district court of Nizhny Novgorod chaired by judge Pyryev will conduct another hearing under the criminal case against officers of the 5^th police department for Nizhny Novgorod (before the reorganization – Nizhegorodsky district Directorate of the Interior) charged with five crimes committed against Alexey Yakimov. During the hearing the officers will be questioned – policemen Timofeyev and Koreguin denying their guilt will have to present their version of the events of April 2009. Taking into account the social importance of these proceedings, the Interregional Committee against Torture invites mass media to the hearing.
