The Committee Against Torture discusses executions at the OSCE conference

06 October 2010

Yesterday, in the framework of the annual OSCE Review Conference the Interregional Committee Against Torture took part in the working session devoted to tortures and executions. The use of torture is still one of the most important problems in Russia. But the most unfortunate situation is recorded in Chechnya where tortures, killings and abductions take place on a regular basis and have become a routine practice. Here you can find the text of the speech on this problem delivered by Vice-Chairperson of the ICAT Olga Sadovskaya during the morning session of the Review Conference.
