On 29-30 January in the Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod region the Interregional Committee against Torture organizes a two-day training for officials from the Commission on Juvenile Affairs and Protection of Children’s rights of Nizhny Novgorod and their regional colleagues. The training deals with international standards for children’s protection. The seminar is conducted in the framework of the joint project “Monitoring and training of state agents” implemented by the Committee against Torture and Global Opportunities Fund. The aim of this project is to improve the possibilities of children’s rights protection in Russia by increasing the qualification of the regional legal community and introducing state representatives to international standards of children’s rights protection.
