The NN Committee Against Torture publishes an unofficial Russian translation of the public statement concerning the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, made by the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) on 13 March 2007. 

    This public statement was made under Article 10, paragraph 2, of the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
