Lawyers of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture received a response from the European Court for Human Rights in which it is reported that the case of Murad Amriev is given priority as provided for in Article 41 of the European Convention for Human Rights. This means that the Court will give special attention to the situation, developing around Amriev.  

In addition, the European Court posed additional questions related to the safety of the applicant in order to pass a verdict on applying injunctive remedies with regard to Amriev.    

At the present time our response to the request depends on whether Amriev will be turned over to Russia or not.
