The hearing of arguments by the parties of the criminal case against policemen from the detoxification center of Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod, who are charged with Alexander Anoshin’s homicide, has been put off till 26 February.
This is connected with the Court’s inability to complete the inquest due to the default of a witness – a prosecution investigator Makhmutov, who had investigated the homicide.
Advocates of the alleged offenders insist that their clients, in particular Mr. Maslov, and also some witnesses – staff of the detoxification center, have been subjected to psychological pressure by investigator Makhmutov and interrogation protocols are corrupt.
It is worth mentioning that the prosecution official has not once ignored summons to the court. Senior officials of the Investigating Department where Makhmudov works, claim that he is ill, but he will undoubtedly appear in court at the hearing on 26 February
