This conference is going to take place today, on 10 December 2008 года, in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.  The conference is organized by the Nizhny Novgorod region administration and coincides with the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the UN General Assembly 60 years ago.

During the meeting governmental officials, judges, law enforcement agents, public people and human rights defenders are going to report on burning issues connected to the protection of human rights and freedoms in Nizhny Novgorod region.

МThe Committee will be represented by vice-chairman Olga Sadovskaya.

You may remember that 10 December is an International Human Rights Day since 1950, when the UN General Assembly suggested to commemorate signing of the Human Rights Declaration.
