On June 26 in Nizhny Novgorod the Multiregional Committee against Torture organized a meeting with Mr. Vladimir Guerchikov, Moscow producer and script-writer of the documentary “SAVE PRIVATE MIKHEYEV” and conducted the only public demonstration of the movie.   Besides, the Committee staff presented a new photo exhibition “One of Five” prepared by the NGO and devoted to torture victims.

The meeting and demonstration took place in the Rekord cinema in Nizhny Novgorod and attracted the attention of many Nizhny Novgorod residents and mass media representatives.

Festive activities devoted to the Day in Support of Victims of Torture were held this morning in Grozniy. They were organized by the Chechen office of the Committee against Torture with the support and participation of the Human Rights Commissioner for Chechnya and the Republican Public Chamber representative.  

The Multiregional Committee against Torture offers the film “Save private Mikheyev” for downloading and free distribution.
