Non-governmental organization «A World Without Censorship» announces that the period of application for taking part in international contest of short films «The Right Cut», dedicated to human rights issues, is prolonged till 15 March of this year.
The prize for the first place is a trip to the Harvard University of the USA in April 2016, where the winner’s film will be presented at a special event, organized by the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy. In addition, the authors of three best short films will also be awarded – their works will be presented at a special event of the «People in Need» organization in Prague. Also, the contest involves special nominations – «best script», «best camera work», «best editing».
In order to participate it is necessary to send your short film to the event’s organizers via free video hosting VIMEO having indicated the film’s code in the application, the template of which is available here. Limitation on the film’s duration – 6 minutes. English subtitles are required.
On 1 April 2016 the winners will be announced (the notification will be sent via email). From 1 to 15 April the winner will mandatorily have to answer to the email, accepting the award. Otherwise he loses his right to receive the award, which automatically is given to the contestant who took the second place. The winner will have to claim the US visa on his own.
«A World Without Censorship» is a non-governmental organization with six years of experience in the sphere of freedom of expression by means of art. At the present time the headquarters of the organization is located in Caracas (Venezuela), at the same time in its activity the organization emphasizes promotion of human rights not only in Venezuela, but throughout the world.
