The teenage boy will get 20 thousand roubles for being unlawfully held in a detention facility

The State was obliged to pay out 20 thousand roubles to Dmitry Andronov for his unlawful detention in a detention center (SIZO)

   So it was decided today by the Sovetsky District Court. As you may know the respondents under this case were detention facility IZ-52/1, the RF Ministry of Finance, Central Department of the Federal Service of Penalty Execution (GUFSIN) in Nizhny Novgorod region and the RF Federal Service of Penalty Execution (FSIN). Having examined the case, the court ruled to charge RF FSIN with 20 thousand roubles to be paid out through the regional department of the Federal Treasury.

    You may also remember that the first hearing of the case took place on 14 September and was adjourned upon the request of the representatives of the Ministry of Finance. Interests of Dmitry Andronov in the course of this civil case as well as in the framework of the criminal proceedings against policemen who allegedly cruelly treated the boy are represented by lawyers of the Committee Against Torture.
