Tomorrow, the Sechenovsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod Region will resume hearing of the criminal case against the police officers of Sechenovsky District Police Station (ROVD) charged with the unlawful use of violence in respect of Gennady Denisov. The NN Committee Against Torture whereto the victim addressed has granted legal aid to Gennady. Yuri Sidorov, a lawyer of the Committee, is representing his interests in court. A hearing of arguments is expected during the today’s sitting if the court interviews the last of the witnesses. Provided that the court’s inquest and the hearing of arguments are over, the court will set the date for the verdict.

The Committee Against Torture will later inform when the court will announce the verdict in respect of the police officers.
