The oral hearing will take place on 16 March 2009 at 10 a.m. Such decision was taken yesterday by the Nizhegorodskiy district court chaired by judge Pyryev in course of another hearing under the criminal case against investigation officer Sergey Biryukov from the Nizhegorodskiy district Department of the Interior charged with abuse of powers. You may remember that officer Biryukov is accused of beating Emil Dadashov from Azerbaijan supported by the Committee against Torture. During yesterday’s interrogation Mr. Biryukov again pled innocent and not related to Emil’s battery. This is how the judicial investigation ended. In the coming judicial debates the prosecution and defense will voice their positions and the court will schedule the date to pronounce the verdict.
