Today at 9.40, Olda Sadovskaya, vice-chairman of the Committee against Torture, expert in international law, will deliver a lecture for students of the Journalism School of the Nizhny Novgorod State University about burning problems of human rights violations in Russia and ways to fight them using mass media.
The lecture will cover the issues of tortures, violent treatment and mechanisms of effective investigation for such cases, as well as the role of reporters in preventing human rights violations by state agents.
The lecture is organized for students taking a course in social journalism under the auspices of Sluzheniye Association.
